Strawberries
Miss Karli was hungry and she has this thing about waiting, so while I was getting something for her to eat I handed her a strawberry. She wouldn't give it back and managed to gum it long enough to soften it up and eat the whole thing. And then she ate about six more.
After the strawberries, it was time for a bath. I asked Corbin to keep an eye on her for me while I cleaned up the tray and pretty soon I heard all sorts of giggling. When I walked in, this is what I found...

My Baby
Now that I have a new camera, I can't seem to resist taking pictures. Particularly pictures of Karlicakes. I realized that I have tons, but I haven't shared any for some time now. Well, here they are. Sorry if there seems to be an overload, but she's just that cute.
As you can see, she spends the majority of her time smiling. She loves to play and adores her siblings, almost as much as they adore her (keep in mind there's only one of her and three of them, otherwise she may have them beat). She is constantly moving and giggles every time you touch her toes. Her hair curls when it's wet and her eyes have remained a sparkling blue. She recently moved in with Mia and I love to listen to them "talk" to each other in the mornings. I don't love to listen to them in the wee hours of the morning, however. Fortunately, that doesn't happen often. She has become quite talkative and will often babble mamamama when she sees me and lots of other times too, but I like to pretend she's calling to me. Every time I walk into the room her eyes light up and she reaches for me and my heart melts right back around her tiny little fingers. She is a ray of sunshine and reminds us all of what is important around here. I love her. I love her so much that my bones ache, but I think that's because I keep gritting my teeth and gripping my hands to keep from squeezing her too tight. Egads, she is adorable.

Skirts and Salsa
Today was a skirt sort of day, according to Mia. And since I didn't feel like arguing with her, I let her pick out her own outfit. She's got her own sense of style, that one and I love it. So I brought out the camera which means everyone run to where mom is so she can take pictures of us adorable children. And here they are.
After the photo shoot, the kids went to help Denver pick tomatoes. A lot of tomatoes because we have a gazillion and I thought it was high time I tackled canning salsa. Today was the first time I've ever made it and it may be the last. Just kidding. It wasn't too bad and I learned a lot. Such as, if a recipe warns me not to touch something, like jalapenos, I'm going to pay attention.
Mia and Corbin dancing while "helping" Dad pick tomatoes.
Lil Miss was quite impressed with the zuchinni she found.
Karli was here for most of the day.
My sink. My tomatoes. Hours of fun.
Oh yeah, let's make salsa!
This is why Karli stays in her excersaucer, the kids can't resist her if she's free.
But at least she seems to enjoy it, right?
First few bites of salsa....
Corbin took one bite and then looked at me with genuine surprise and said, "Mom, this is really good!"
