Easter! I promised my mom I'd get some pictures of our Easter doings and post them. I'll bet she had no idea I'd be doing it this soon! Saturday morning we went to the church for breakfast and an egg hunt! I gotta give props to our activities committee because it was absolutely fantastic. The food was great and the kids had a blast-so great job! Seriously, they worked hard and I hope they all know how much we appreciate their hard work.

And on to the pictures-here's Chase trying to win the blow-your-egg-across-the-gym-with-a- straw race. It was really fun to watch.

I didn't take any video so here's a series of shots that shows Corbin's first egg hunt and one of the eggs he was able to find. In the first picture the grass is a little wet and he really doesn't want Dad to set him down-can you tell?
As you can see, he ended up having fun-who wouldn't when you get to put an egg in your mouth!

Now here are the pictures from Sunday morning. Corbin and Chase each got an Easter basket and a new outfit. Corbin's eggs were filled with Cheerios-man that is one smart Easter Bunny don't ya think?

The grass in Corbin's basket is edible, but we couldn't get him to try it. I did and it wasn't as bad as I'd thought it was going to be and it doesn't seem sticky at all which I was a little concerned about.
I think the Easter Bunny thought that since Chase is going to be 10 in about a month it was time to get him some smell good stuff-it's what real men use.

The rest are pictures from our photo shoot after church. I like to pretend that everyone loves my children as much as I do and can't ever get enough of looking at them so I posted more than was probably necessary. Happy Easter! (I know that Denver isn't technically one of my children, but I think he falls into the same category anyway!)

Miracles

Today is a day filled with amazing, inexplicable, fantastical occurences. First, I am posting for the second time in a week! Hooray me. Second, I got to see my baby today. What, you ask, don't you see your baby every day? Of course I see Corbin every day but I'm talking about my other baby! The one growing inside my body! For anyone who doesn't know yet, I am pregnant. My due date is September 23 which puts me at about 16 weeks today. I've been trying not to think about it because I haven't been ready for the reality that comes with having children 15 months apart, let alone the idea of being pregnant for the next forever long months. So at my appointment today I was just kind of ho-hum ready to be done and on my way to work. Even Corbin seemed more excited than I was-granted they did have a fish tank in the lobby. Anyway, after the doctor came in and got the sonograph to check for the heartbeat I was still sorta lax about the whole thing. And then she couldn't find the heartbeat. I can't even begin to describe that bottom-falling-out-of-the-world feeling in the pit of my stomach. It's one of those moments where the seconds last for hours and the whole world is suspended while we wait and listen, holding our breath, hoping and praying that everything's fine, and if I just don't move and if the doctor turns the machine just a little we'll hear those little thuds..I think you get the picture. After 30 seconds or so, the doctor decided to grab a portable ultrasound just to take a peep. She found the baby immediately, and laughed because the little stinker was crouched way down in my pelvis hiding under the placenta which explained why we couldn't hear the heartbeat. That's when I finally realized that none of my doubts and fears about having another child matter anymore. That sweet little avocado (according to babycenter.com the baby is roughly the size of an avocado) is my baby! Everything is perfect and whoever that child is I am thrilled to be a Mom again! Peewee(a nickname from coworkers) is already an intregal part of this family and we love him/her! More deeply than I ever realized. I'd forgotten that pregnancy can feel this good! That's the third miracle-I haven't felt like puking even once today! Maybe it's because I've finally found the magic in motherhood again. Or maybe it's because it's not evening yet-the time I usually spend horizontal to prevent the overwhelming nausea and its antecedent. Who cares! I feel good now and I'm going to have another baby! I love being a Mom!

Pics

Yes, yes. Once again, it has been ages since I've posted. The good news is that I've managed to download all the pictures from my camera and I realized I had a few I've been wanting to share. I know I should probably give each group it's own post but rather than let my creative, aesthetic side take over practicality won. Enjoy!
These first three are from when we went to the beach in February. As you can see, Chase is a true Hunsaker and thrives on being in the COLD wet ocean.

You gotta love a man that isn't afraid to act like his infant son and let his wife photograph it. Oh wait, he doesn't know his wife caught this on camera. Hee, hee.

Just me and the little one, chillin' on the beach. Corbin was wrapped up like a burrito. Well maybe more like Ralphie's little bro on our favorite Christmas film. (I'm pretty sure his name's Ralphie but if I'm wrong you have my permission to shoot my eye out.)

My little prince. Corbin was invited to a birthday party for a real princess and everyone came in their best royalty dress. The only problem was that Corbin's outfit didn't arrive on time so he didn't get to wear it to the party. That didn't stop me from trying it on him though!

And these last couple of pictures are from this past Saturday. It was such a gorgeous day we decided that it simply must be spent at the park! We ended up playing football for a couple of hours with a bunch of kids. (Some of them were Chase's friends so it wasn't like we were being creepy adults stalking little kids in the park.)

Of course, we didn't spend the entire time playing football-we had to take pictures of Corbin in his new hat!
